Water Bottle Cozy

It took longer than I expected this time working on my first Gift Project of 2019. Time and life can just be so absorbing at times. I managed to complete the last piece of my project last evening. I was actually a day overdue from the timeline I set.

Introducing my Apache Tears Water Bottle Cozy. A crochet technique that inspired my creativity while I was researching through Pinterest. Most crafters worked this particular Apache Tears crochet design into table placemats, Afghans, Bags and even Wine Bottle Gift Cozy. But I decided to use the Apache Tear crochet technique into a Water Bottle Cozy .

I actually enjoyed the process of making it. The Apache Tears crochet pattern was baffling at first. Almost got me cross eyed especially when I had to work each colour row by row, layering it with correct stitch count to get the Spiral Twist Effect with the Tear staggered diagonally above the previous. But when I actually got a hang of it, its actually pretty fast to make in a couple of hours.

Add in a little bit of Colour Works Combination and the effect of the Crochet Work can look gorgeous.

It is made from washable cotton crochet yarn, good for absorbing cold water bottle sweat in the hot summer and also helps keep drinks warm longer.

Last of all, I just like how it is practical but can still add that extra touch of decor to a simple Water Bottle.
