Just in time for Xmas 2021- Mosaic Table Runner

I decided to get this blog written up and posted before 2021 comes to an end. The weather is wet and chilly today. October and November had been really difficult for me. Everyday seemed to be so slow moving and energy sapping. I spent a lot of time focusing on self care and physical rehab. Yes, physical rehab and lots of it to get myself back on my own two happy feet. It had been a long period since I last wrote anything related to my hobby craft. But that does not mean that I have been all lazy with no crafting done at all. I did it on and off, with minimal focus and energy. The fierce enthusiasm to complete any craft project was just not around. Most of my craft ideas came along as some flitting thoughts that at times I would be able to manage to grab a writing tool and pen it down somewhere but most times it just floats away as fast as it came by.

I am now getting back on track with my craft ideas with some new craft supplies that have recently arrived in November’s shipment. I will just need more time to work and materialise those ideas before I post it up on my C4C Page site and get it listed in my C4C shop too. Like all my other craft products, the ready makes will be limited in numbers and I do accept orders to work on too. Hopefully my followers who liked and appreciate my craft works will also draw inspiration from them to draft out and weave handmade crafts of their own too.

I am still currently trying to get adjusted physically but it is now getting much easier. Having calm soothing instrumental music in the background had been really helpful in getting me through my recovery and it gave me a fresh start at each day. I have also decided to embark on another style of project work. So yes, I did put my July WIP on hold for this to start production and take form which was started in this late October.

Mosaic crochet, using the 2 row inset method. It was like working through a constant maze of colour works that was a really long repetitive journey to follow through. But because I had set an objective for myself to complete it by this Xmas 2021. I decided that this was a project that I would start and soldier on with, work through it daily in small bits, learn to enjoy the little daily progress I had made and get it completed. The colours chosen were meant to be festive and vibrant. Something to help lift up my so blue and tired inner soul and also keep me focus so that I would not sink lower into the depths of my inner deep sea. My handmade craft works had always helped me to heal, see another side of things and helped me appreciate my own efforts.

I am glad that I have completed this complicated looking mosaic table runner in time for Xmas 2021. Let’s all Eat, Drink, Stay Merry and be surrounded by people who love us and makes us laugh. May the coming New Year bring us better days and good tidings.
