Sharing the Joy- EOY 2017

I want to sew,

I want to touch the Children with my crafts,

I want the Children – to feel Deeply, Tenderly, Loved and Happy

I want to send Light into the darkness of their hearts

So may it be my duty to … not just make them See but Feel what they can hold in their hands ..Joy

This year is coming to an end soon. But despite a series of unexpected events that I have had to overcome for the past month. I feel I still had to make time in the evenings after work and chores to work on spreading some Joy to our Children. A quiet work corner with good enough lighting , air condition and Bossa Nova Lounge music in the background just makes it more conducive and therapeutic to sew.

Back to the Basics, fabric combination selection and cloth cutting- I felt I was a little rusty at it again.. but once I started, it all came back to me again. Its like my hands had a memory of their own.

The body is all ready-made modifications to its tail by giving it a Tulip mane

Time to work its Head

Tacking the ribbon pieces down can be a tedious affair- lots of fine hand stitching work

All stuffed up with Polyfill. Time to work on embroidering its features to give it a Cheerful look

Gave it a Big nose, getting ready to sew on eyes- Love the polka dots

Glad to have got a doll maker’s needle. Makes embroidering features so much easier.. I love working with different selection of needles- be careful with sharps

Ta Daa! All done! Hoot! Hoot!

It feels good to be working on Leo again. Its been a couple of months off sewing patchwork toys. I hope the Children will love Leo!
