Mother’s Day-Time, Love & Effort

Today’s 2 hours Yoga practice was intense. But I felt great. Accomplished with new sensations experienced in terms of flexibility and strength. Walked home after Yoga feeling more relaxed and at ease with my body.

Got home getting my mind ready for my next shift – Chores shift. Happy to be greeted by our dog who always seem ever so excited by my homecoming.
Walked into my Kitchen, a little bit surprised to find The Man cleaning up fresh shrimps at the sink. Then I looked around my Kitchen top, I see food items that were not bought by me.

Hmmm…. seems like The Man had been out to the supermarket while I was at Yoga practice this morning-no wonder he asked me if I was going for double session Yoga or just one. But I thought that is what he normally asks on Sunday mornings.
I decided to get a cup of Oats milk to recharge myself before I start out on my chores while The Man was still working on the food items and at times asking me which bottle was Salt, which bottle was Corn flour, do I have White Pepper in my cabinet? I stopped at what I was doing at that moment and showed him where the bottles were.
While I was bathing our dog, he mentioned that his fingers were feeling spicy from slicing the red chilli. Well, I told him it was common to feel spiciness in your fingers as the Chilli sap gets into your skin even if you had no skin chapes on your fingers. The smell may linger on your fingers too. I told The Man, that is also the reason why many women choose not to cook-spice smell lingers on their hands even after washing despite all that heat and oil-every woman loves feeling clean and always smelling good.
Done with bathing my dog, done with folding up the yesterday’s dried laundry. Resting on my old sofa while waiting for the laundry in the washing machine to sing that familiar tune to let me know it is done and I can hang up the clean laundry to dry…. I can smell the fragrant garlic aroma coming from The Man’s cooking in the kitchen. The aroma just makes my post exercise tummy hungry….. I sit and wait… waiting for my first meal of the day cooked personally with no help from me at all by The Man.

Served by The Man himself-smells good and definitely tasted just right. Not too salty, not too sweet, not soggy. Well, all it takes was for The Man to explore and put his fine/gross motor skills into use at the right place and fix me a meal just right for my hungry tummy.

Last but not least….. The Girl also had something prepared too… and I was still wondering why she was so busy all morning hiding in her bedroom.

A basket of Handmade paper Flowers with cut out paper Pink Hearts just for me, her mommy. I liked it. Just my type of Flowers that would not cause me any allergies and not easily perishable.

I truly felt their love and I appreciate both their efforts. Loving them always.

If a Choice you make everyday is to put Someone else’s Happiness and Well being ahead of  your Own. You will put in the Time, Love and Efforts to make it Great even if it was Impossible.

Cuddles4Cherish wishes all Mothers out there-Happy Mother’s Day!
