Done with my usual housechores. Thinking about what to create today out of my supplies of socks. I decided to look through my new Stray Sock Sewing book that was delivered a couple of days ago via Book Depository. But still… I was not so sure what I would come up with. Well, just do it and see what comes along.
My messy work space as I work. At times, I like having some spotify music playing in the background. But for now, I just enjoy working along with my cup of coffee beside me. I can sip at it whenever I feel like a rest from the sewing.
Mr Mouse just got off from work.
It took me longer than usual today. I normally take about an hour to complete a sock dolly. At first I thought my creation was going to be a puppy. But it seems as I worked on it’s facial features, it now looks more like a Mouse. A mouse that reminds me of the American Tale cartoon. It looks really adorable.
This is it…every sock doll created will be unique and a little quirky. None of them look exactly the same as the other. I supposed it’s because they are all individually handmade and not reproduced by some factory mould. The creations seem to have their own unique personalities. They always fill me with a simple sense of happiness and accomplishment.
